Your kid has done great in school for the most part. Come 4th-6th grade, they’re falling behind on pre-algebra topics, fractions, percents, reading, writing, and most importantly, their motivation.

This time in a young learner’s life is when a deep understanding of the fundamentals of learning is necessary. When students fall behind at this level, the seeds of academic insecurity begin to grow, and a complicated relationship with learning itself begins to flourish.

We’ve seen this story play out time and time again for the past 12 years of private tutoring in the ultra-competitive Bay Area school systems. The reality is that your student is already competing with students who have private tutors. Year after year, the competition only grows.

Whether it’s a 6th grader or a 10th grader in high school, the roots of academic challenges can be traced back to these formative years.
Thus, we effectively teach subject matter so students understand the material using evidence-based learning tools.

Your student will also learn to build the systems necessary to excel in any learning environment, creating habits that systematically beat the competition in middle school, high school, college, and beyond.

  • 📝 Lessons: virtual, via Google meets + a real-time e-whiteboard we use called Jamboard which allows us to be on the same page together, in real time, with no lagging.

    🗓 Lesson invitations are organized and accessible via Google Calendar.

    🖥 We strongly recommend an iPad and pencil or another tablet for our math & science lessons so we can practice attacking problems, in a hands-on approach, like needed on test day(s)~

    📈 After every lesson, we'll send a report detailing the work we did, areas of focus, relative homework, and the next steps for the coming lesson.

    💸 Payments are handled via Venmo: @ehmacademy, where I'll simply ping you at the end of every week.
